Laura & Mark
GATE STREET BARN, BRAMLEY, GUILDFORD
It was lovely to meet up with Laura and Mark again at Gate Street Barn in Guildford. We’d previously met there for their pre-wedding shoot and they were so relaxed together in front of the camera and such fun to be around that I knew this was going to be a great day.
Laura and the bridesmaids got ready at her Mum’s house. Her mum helped Laura into the stunning dress she had designed herself. Laura had also designed a long sleeved lace bodice that fitted over the top of her simple sleeveless dress which could be removed at the end of the evening when the dancing began. A really clever idea. It was a fun morning filled with smiles and laughter as everyone prepared for the celebrations ahead.
The ceremony took place at the Roman Catholic church, St Francis of Assisi in Ascot. Then it was back to the barn to celebrate in style. I particularly loved the mannequin that Laura had decorated with fresh flowers and leaves to create a dress and necklace. The skirt was made from gypsophila and the bodice was formed of overlapping leaves… so creative and unique.
We took a late evening stroll in the beautiful surrounding countryside to catch the last of the evening light before returning to finish off the day with much cake and dancing!
