I first met Charlotte and Adam when I was photographing their friends Jonathan and Shareen’s wedding a year ago at Danesfield House in Buckinghamshire. I was delighted when they contacted me to shoot their wedding too.
When I arrived at Calcot Manor the cherry blossom was in bloom, preparations were underway and the champagne was flowing. The room was full of pre-wedding excitement as Charlotte and her bridesmaids prepared for the celebrations ahead. On top of all the usual preparations the girls had put together a really special gift for Charlotte, a book that contained photos, anecdotes, stories etc. of their lives together which was a touching moment.
Calcot Manor dates back to the 14th century and is located in the heart of the Cotswolds countryside. It is surrounded by it’s own beautiful meadowlands and would make a stunning setting for almost any wedding combining a wonderful sense of history with a thoroughly relaxing atmosphere.
The ceremony was held at St John the Baptist Church in Kings Cote which was just a short distant from Calcot Manor. Then it was back to the venue for the wedding celebrations… a brilliant day!
