Nicola and Andy travelled from their home in Somerset to meet me in Swanage for their engagement shoot. As they hadn’t visited the area for a while, it all felt fairly new to them.
They are an outdoorsy couple who enjoy walking so they were totally up for a tour along the Jurassic coast with me. Swanage is one of those old-school style seaside town, with a long sandy beach, and plenty of nearby gift shops and fish and chip shops.
We then headed to Kimmeridge Bay, which is 7 miles along the coast from Swanage, and sits within the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve. It apparently boasts the best rock-pooling in Dorset! The rocky terrain was a great contrast to the sandy beach we’d just left.
It was good fun getting to know Nicola and Andy during the couple of hours we spent together. And we made the most of the late winter sunshine, although there was a fresh breeze there was also a bit of warmth in the winter sun too… a bright, still, beautiful day.
