Suzy and Sam had decided early on to break with convention and design their own day. They are a delightful couple who said all they wanted was to create a nice space with all their friends and family and have a party – well they certainly achieved that! And with everyone coming together to help, this made the day particularly memorable.
So what do you need for a wedding party? Well in Sam & Suzy’s case, a tent, a field, and a nice view so that’s what they did and the rest is history as they say!
Suzy’s day started at the Hotel du Vin in Poole where the preparations began. By mid morning the heavens had opened but luckily it was a passing shower. By the time we were ready to leave for the ceremony, just up the road at Poole registry office, the sun was shining and all thoughts of rain had disappeared.
After the ceremony everyone was bussed out to the venue on the wild side of Poole Harbour. After winding down endless tracks and lanes, we emerged through some trees to the most remote and beautiful lakeside location. With stunning views across to Brownsea Island and beyond the scene was set for a great day.
A fun afternoon followed including a great Bob Marley rendition from some family members and loads of delicious pizzas from caterers Up In Smoke.
The sun finally set leaving the tents and marquee silhouetted on the horizon and the celebrations continued long into the star lit night.
A big thank you to S&S for all the fun and here’s a short preview from the documentary wedding photography , please like and share and thanks for visiting….
